Storemate — storemate.lk  ·  Effective date: June 2026  ·  Version 1.0

"Plain language. No surprises. No fine print."
A note from us before you read

These terms are written in plain language. No legal jargon. No hidden clauses.

We want you to understand exactly what you are agreeing to. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@storemate.lk before you accept. We will explain it directly.

These terms form the agreement between you and Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.

01

Acceptance of Terms

By registering for, accessing, or using the Storemate platform at storemate.lk or through the Storemate mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Storemate.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including sellers, team members, and anyone accessing Storemate on behalf of a business. If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.

02

Who Can Use Storemate

To use Storemate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • You must be operating a legitimate business or commercial activity in Sri Lanka or conducting business with Sri Lankan sellers.
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering.
  • You must not be prohibited from using online services under Sri Lankan law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
  • If registering on behalf of a business, you must have the authority to do so.
03

Your Account

1
Account responsibility
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone outside your business.
2
Accurate information
You must provide accurate business information during registration and keep it up to date. False or misleading information may result in account suspension.
3
Team access
You may add team members to your account. You are responsible for their use of the platform and ensuring they comply with these terms.
4
Account security
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@storemate.lk. We will help you secure it promptly.
04

The Service We Provide

Storemate provides an order and inventory management platform for Sri Lankan online sellers, including features for order tracking, courier integration, waybill generation, inventory management, and related business tools.

We are continuously improving Storemate. We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. Where a change materially affects your use of the platform, we will notify you in advance.

1
Implementation support
We provide a full setup session to get your account operational. Our team handles the configuration — you do not set it up alone.
2
Courier integration
We integrate with Royal Express, TransEx, FDE, DomEx, Koombiyo, and other Sri Lankan courier networks. Courier service terms are governed by each courier.
3
Mobile application
The Storemate mobile app is available on Android and iOS. App store terms of the respective platform also apply.
4
Free tools
Certain tools such as the Free Waybill Generator and Free Course are available without a paid subscription. These remain subject to these terms.
05

Your Data and Content

You own your data. Everything you enter into Storemate — your orders, your customer details, your product information, your business records — belongs to you. We are trusted with it to provide the service. Nothing more.

1
Your ownership
All data you enter into Storemate remains yours at all times. We do not claim ownership over your business data or your customers' information.
2
Licence to operate
By using Storemate, you grant us a limited licence to process your data as necessary to provide the service — syncing with couriers, generating reports, displaying your dashboard. No broader use.
3
Data export
You can export your data at any time. Contact hello@storemate.lk and we will provide a full export in a usable format within 14 days.
4
Data accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. We process what you provide. Errors in input produce errors in output.
5
Customer data responsibility
Your customers' data that you enter into Storemate is your responsibility. You must have a lawful basis to collect and process it under applicable law.
06

Subscription and Payment

Storemate offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans unlock additional features, higher order volumes, and priority support. Current plan details and pricing are displayed at storemate.lk/pricing.

1
Billing cycle
Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. Billing begins at the end of your free trial, or immediately for upgrades from a Free account.
2
Payment methods
Payment is processed through our secure third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card details. Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout.
3
Price changes
We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect. Your current pricing is honoured until the end of your billing period.
4
Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time, except where required by law or as stated in our refund policy.
5
Refunds
If you experience a billing error or are charged incorrectly, contact us within 14 days at hello@storemate.lk. We will review and resolve it promptly.
6
Failed payment
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to retry. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, your account may be moved to limited access. Your data is retained.
07

Free Trial

Storemate offers a free trial period so you can experience the platform before committing to a subscription. The trial is designed to give you a genuine experience of the full platform.

1
Trial duration
The current free trial period is displayed on the pricing page and may vary by promotion or offer. Check storemate.lk/pricing for current terms.
2
Full access
During the trial, you have access to the full Storemate feature set. No artificially limited version.
3
No card required
We do not require payment details to start a free trial. You will never be charged without your explicit confirmation.
4
Implementation included
The full setup session with our team is included during the trial. You set up properly from day one — not after you pay.
5
After the trial
At the end of the trial, you may choose a paid plan to continue. If you do not, your account will move to limited access. Your data is retained for 90 days.
6
One trial per business
Free trials are available once per business. Creating multiple accounts to access additional trials is a violation of these terms.
08

Free Version

Storemate offers a Free version of the platform — a permanently available tier that allows sellers to use core features without a paid subscription. The Free version is designed to help early-stage sellers get started with professional order management at no cost.

1
What is included
The Free version includes a defined set of core features as displayed on storemate.lk/pricing. Included features may change over time. We will notify Free version users before removing or restricting any currently available feature.
2
Feature limitations
The Free version has limits on order volume, the number of active integrations, and access to advanced features. Current limits are shown at storemate.lk/pricing. These limits exist to ensure a sustainable service for all users.
3
No expiry
The Free version does not expire. Unlike the free trial, there is no time limit on Free version access. You may use the Free version for as long as you choose.
4
No card required
The Free version requires no payment details. You will never be charged for Free version use. Upgrading to a paid plan is always your choice.
09

Acceptable Use

Storemate is built for legitimate Sri Lankan online sellers. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.

You must not use Storemate to:

  • Conduct fraudulent transactions, process fake orders, or deceive buyers or couriers.
  • Collect or store customer data beyond what is necessary for legitimate order fulfilment.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other accounts, or connected systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
  • Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the platform without our written permission.
  • Resell, sublicence, or provide access to Storemate to third parties without our written consent.
  • Use the platform in a way that violates Sri Lankan law or the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
  • Impersonate another person or business or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Violations

Violations of this acceptable use policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund. We will always investigate before taking action and notify you of the reason.

10

Intellectual Property

The Storemate platform — including its software, design, code, features, branding, and content — is owned by Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd and protected under applicable Sri Lankan and international intellectual property laws.

1
Our property
The Storemate name, logo, platform design, and all software code are the intellectual property of Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written consent.
2
Your property
Your business data, brand assets, and content remain entirely yours. We make no claim over anything you upload or create within the platform. See Section 5 for full details.
3
Licence to use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Storemate platform for the purpose of managing your business. This licence does not include the right to sublicence or resell access to the platform.
4
Feedback
If you share suggestions or feedback about the platform, we may use it to improve Storemate. We will not compensate you for feedback, but we are genuinely grateful for it.
11

Service Availability

We work hard to keep Storemate available and reliable. Our target is maximum uptime. However, no service can guarantee 100% availability at all times.

1
Planned maintenance
We may take the platform offline for maintenance. We will notify you in advance where possible and schedule maintenance during low-traffic periods.
2
Unplanned outages
In the event of an unplanned outage, we will communicate status updates through our website and notify affected sellers as quickly as possible.
3
Third-party dependencies
Some features depend on third-party services such as courier APIs. Disruptions to those services may affect Storemate functionality temporarily.
4
No uptime guarantee
While we strive for high availability, we do not provide a formal uptime guarantee or service level agreement on standard subscription plans.
5
Our commitment
When something goes wrong, we fix it — working beyond office hours when necessary. Accountability is a core value, not a marketing line.
12

Limitation of Liability

Plain language summary

We take our responsibility to your business seriously. However, like all software providers, we must limit liability for events outside our reasonable control.

We will always tell you what happened and work to make it right.

To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity resulting from platform downtime or service interruption, except where caused by our gross negligence.
  • Loss or corruption of data resulting from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to third-party infrastructure failures.
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
  • Actions of courier partners, payment processors, or other third-party services integrated with Storemate.
  • Loss resulting from your failure to maintain secure account credentials.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Storemate shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We will always be transparent about why, and act fairly.

1
Your right to cancel
You may cancel your Storemate account at any time from within the platform or by contacting us at hello@storemate.lk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
2
Termination by us — for cause
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for serious violations: fraud, illegal activity, severe breach of acceptable use, or persistent non-payment after notice. We will notify you of the reason.
3
Termination by us — other
We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice if we discontinue the service or are required to do so for legal reasons. In this case, you will receive a prorated refund for any unused paid period.
4
Data after termination
Following account closure, your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted. You may request a data export at any point during this period at hello@storemate.lk.
5
Effect of termination
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases. Sections relating to data ownership, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
14

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Storemate shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Sri Lankan courts.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we ask that you first contact us at hello@storemate.lk and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute directly. Most issues can be resolved through honest conversation.
