Terms of
Service
These terms are written in plain language. No legal jargon. No hidden clauses.
We want you to understand exactly what you are agreeing to. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@storemate.lk before you accept. We will explain it directly.
These terms form the agreement between you and Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.
Acceptance of Terms
By registering for, accessing, or using the Storemate platform at storemate.lk or through the Storemate mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Storemate.
These terms apply to all users of the platform, including sellers, team members, and anyone accessing Storemate on behalf of a business. If you are accepting these terms on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.

Your Account
The Service We Provide
Storemate provides an order and inventory management platform for Sri Lankan online sellers, including features for order tracking, courier integration, waybill generation, inventory management, and related business tools.
We are continuously improving Storemate. We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. Where a change materially affects your use of the platform, we will notify you in advance.
Your Data and Content
You own your data. Everything you enter into Storemate — your orders, your customer details, your product information, your business records — belongs to you. We are trusted with it to provide the service. Nothing more.
Subscription and Payment
Storemate offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans unlock additional features, higher order volumes, and priority support. Current plan details and pricing are displayed at storemate.lk/pricing.
Free Trial
Storemate offers a free trial period so you can experience the platform before committing to a subscription. The trial is designed to give you a genuine experience of the full platform.
Free Version
Storemate offers a Free version of the platform — a permanently available tier that allows sellers to use core features without a paid subscription. The Free version is designed to help early-stage sellers get started with professional order management at no cost.
Acceptable Use
Storemate is built for legitimate Sri Lankan online sellers. You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
You must not use Storemate to:
- Conduct fraudulent transactions, process fake orders, or deceive buyers or couriers.
- Collect or store customer data beyond what is necessary for legitimate order fulfilment.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other accounts, or connected systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
- Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the platform without our written permission.
- Resell, sublicence, or provide access to Storemate to third parties without our written consent.
- Use the platform in a way that violates Sri Lankan law or the laws of any applicable jurisdiction.
- Impersonate another person or business or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
Violations of this acceptable use policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund. We will always investigate before taking action and notify you of the reason.
Intellectual Property
The Storemate platform — including its software, design, code, features, branding, and content — is owned by Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd and protected under applicable Sri Lankan and international intellectual property laws.
Service Availability
We work hard to keep Storemate available and reliable. Our target is maximum uptime. However, no service can guarantee 100% availability at all times.
Limitation of Liability
We take our responsibility to your business seriously. However, like all software providers, we must limit liability for events outside our reasonable control.
We will always tell you what happened and work to make it right.
To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Parallax Technologies (Pvt) Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity resulting from platform downtime or service interruption, except where caused by our gross negligence.
- Loss or corruption of data resulting from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to third-party infrastructure failures.
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
- Actions of courier partners, payment processors, or other third-party services integrated with Storemate.
- Loss resulting from your failure to maintain secure account credentials.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Storemate shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We will always be transparent about why, and act fairly.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Storemate shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Sri Lankan courts.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we ask that you first contact us at hello@storemate.lk and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the dispute directly. Most issues can be resolved through honest conversation.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as the platform evolves and as legal requirements change. We will always be transparent about what changed and why.
- We will update the effective date at the top of this document.
- For material changes — changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations — we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
- For minor clarifications or formatting changes, we will update the document without individual notification.
- If you continue to use Storemate after a notified change takes effect, you are considered to have accepted the updated terms.
- If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may cancel your account before the change takes effect. We will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of any paid period in this case.
- Previous versions of these terms are available on request at hello@storemate.lk.

Terms at a Glance
A plain-language summary of these Terms of Service for quick reference.
"Plain language. No surprises. No fine print."
We built Storemate to empower Sri Lankan entrepreneurs. These terms exist to protect both parties — not to trap sellers in legal complexity. If anything here is unclear, ask us. We will explain it. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
