What is UWU EXPO 2022?

The UWU Expo was held on October 28, 2022, at the University of Uva Wellassa to develop the spiritual and technical knowledge and skills required for a successful entrepreneur and to create a solid university-industry relationship.  

Industries, SMEs, and Entrepreneurs were joined with the "UWU EXPO 2022 – Exhibition" to showcase innovative products/ideas to the general public. At the exhibition, everyone met many excellent experts and investors in the relevant fields. At the same time, we were able to talk with relevant field experts regarding our products' developments and the opportunity to contact suitable investors to invest in our venture.

Medals and certificates were awarded for the best inventions to UWU students, students from other universities, the school students category, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Uva province. There were twenty small and medium enterprises as contestants under the innovative technology category, and we are proud to be the most outstanding contestant among them. 

The Business Clinic, held in conjunction with the exhibition, was a massive chance for us to share our business expertise  with the younger generation

We had a great opportunity to present our experiences as a most upcoming IT company and prospective research subjects of industrial importance with the students through the business clinic event. This provides invaluable opportunities for students with their Group Projects, Final Year Research Topics, Industrial Training Placements, internships, and future job placements after graduation. 

It was our pleasure and honor to participate in such a valuable event as the most emerging IT company in Sri Lanka.  With this event, we enjoyed a great opportunity to help educate young undergraduates as they pursue their future careers and entrepreneurial endeavors.   

Parallax technologies has been constantly committed to strengthening the lives and futures of

the Sri Lankan community. This program aims to provide undergraduates with the necessary support to succeed in their educational journey. 

Commenting on the event, CEO Mr. Namal Aththanayaka stated that Parallax, a brand that has grown with technology, hopes every undergraduate gives a successful technical education. Parallax is an organization dedicated to bringing that not just for one single university but for the whole nation.
